My Approach

I know you are here because you want to heal and feel access to yourself and your relationships again. You're not here just to vent about your week, or to complain about a boss, or to draft a text back to your friend who's upset with you. But those are the things that are showing up now, that are in your way, again.

Much of the suffering we navigate as adults connects back to early experiences we had as children. We develop patterns early on that help us to get through challenging moments, and then we keep depending on those patterns, even if they might not be working anymore. This is why, over and over again, we might look at our life of today and think "why is this happening, again?" "how am I in the same situation, even though it's a new ___(job, relationship, etc)?

My work aims to repair the pain of your past by addressing it via the present. This is because when we work through in-the-moment distress, we end up discovering unhealed wounds of the past. As we do this in our sessions, I rely primarily on experiential modalities such as Internal Family Systems, Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), and the Neuro Affective Relational Model (NARM). NARM is a cutting edge trauma therapy that is developmentally-oriented and neuro-science informed. It is an advanced clinical training that is specifically targeted at complex attachment, relational, and developmental trauma.
